CLIC SENSORS

Inertial sensors

An innovative principle

Based on Magnasphere® technology, CLIC V Series inertial sensors use an innovative magnetic approach to detect vibrations.

CLIC V Series inertial sensors are a radical break from past technologies as they are based on a breakthrough, proprietary hybrid inertial/ magnetic operating approach that overcomes all the inherent limitations of traditional passive technologies, be they of the ball, reed or rocker types.

In CLIC inertial sensors, the metal ball that reacts to vibrations is balanced not by the force of gravity, but by permanent magnetic fields. If the vibrations applied to a sensor are strong enough to disturb the magnetic equilibrium, they cause the electrical circuit to open.

Excellent
compatibility

With a particularly accurate engineering design, sensors have been developed in which the magnetic fields are carefully calibrated to respond to vibrations (opening time intervals and cycles) in a way that closely resembles that of the most widely used traditional sensor models. In this way, CLIC inertial sensors achieve a very high degree of compatibility with the most commonly used analysis boards, including those based on wireless sensor technology.

Furthermore, the achievement of balance by means of magnetic fields, instead of the mere force of gravity, makes it possible to develop sensors with a ball of extremely small mass and size.

Finally, since the ball is balanced by internal magnetic fields, the sensor can be freely installed without the usual orientation and position constraints of conventional ball sensors. This allows the sensor to be placed in the areas and positions most likely to be the target of possible burglary actions, further increasing the security level of the installation.

Efficiency, security and freedom

Based on Magnasphere® technology, CLIC inertial sensors are manufactured in Italy and are compatible with the most common pulse counter analysis boards and with the fast ports of the most common control units. They offer long-lasting efficiency combined with a high degree of freedom in positioning.

Technology

In CLIC inertial sensors, the metal ball that reacts to vibrations is balanced not by the force of gravity, but by permanent magnetic fields.

Efficiency and reliability

CLIC inertial sensors offer long-lasting efficiency, are less sensitive to electrical interference on any cable lengths than active inertial sensors, can be installed without position constraints, and are also available in a version with an integrated anti-masking magnetic contact.

Compatibility with control units and radio transmitters

CLIC inertial sensors are compatible with the fast ports of the most popular alarm control units and radio transmitters, but they are most effective in combination with VAS analysis boards, thanks to TSec's anti-break-in system.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Below is a collection of the questions that our customers, installers and distributors ask us most often about our products.

Yes, since they are passive, they are compatible with the fast ports of the most common control units and radio transmitters.

Vibration detection depends significantly on the type of surface on which the sensor has to work.
Furthermore, how well a sensor is able to detect stronger or weaker vibrations depends on the analysis systems of the devices to which it is connected (fast ports of alarm control units, radio transmitters or VAS analysis boards).

The combination of our CLV sensors with VAS analysis boards ensures the highest level of sensor operating range.

They can be installed on wooden, aluminium or PVC window or door frames, on iron doors or gates, on glass panes, on external grilles and on walls (e.g. internal walls of warehouses).
